In my imagination at work I thought GREAT! I can do the double spread of Rose's christening using the same Kaisercraft paper I used for the 12x12 layout, but when I got home and reality took over I realised I didn't actually have a full sheet to match and what was even more tragic, I didn't have anything like the paper I was imagining. So I took stock and decided to do something along the same lines but using a more cutesy feel.
I had some My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy papers so decided to use those for the photos of when we were back in Christchurch in January. It was fun to go though the journaling cards too to find some matching ones. I have also decided to make a 'rule' with myself to use at least one stamp and one piece of ribbon on each double spread so I went through my stash and found some things I wanted to use.
I cut my patterned paper to fit the sleeve which was pretty easy since it was all 6x4 thanks to having chosen that sleeve for the spread before it...must remember to think ahead more! Once I put these in, it was a matter of trimming my photos as I wanted some paper showing and adding elements. So much fun! Here is my layout
