Three patterned papers,
Three patterned papers,
This months challenge at The Paper Teapot was to think pink, which is pretty easy with a little girl. The other rules were 3 papers to be used with at least 2 of these being pink, Bling, Ribbon, 1 piece of cardstock. I decided to scrap a picture of Rose's first day and decided to use some paper from my stash that I got ages ago Bo Bunny Jazmyne...very pink and purple!
Here is my layout.
My latest set of paper from The Paper Teapot was the Simple Stories Say Cheese collection which works in with the Snap system which is like Project Life.
I was given the whole collection and was wondering what on earth I would do with it all, and that I would have a LOT of left over paper. I am not a Project
Lifer but could see how this paper would be wonderful for that and had a thought that I could use a similar style of layout to one I had done for my Father where flaps opened out and there were more flaps underneath. And I could use my photos from a trip I took with my husband and his sister in 2008 (yes going back a few years!) to Queensland where we went to the theme parks..this paper is just perfect for that!
I really liked 'Magic' paper and how it had the tabs, so thought it would look
cool to make my layout look as if a bunch of papers had been thrown
(artistically) on the table. I cut extra tabs out of other papers too, and
made lots of pockets and little fold out books that slotted in to different
'tabs', gosh it was so much fun! As I was working I was thinking how cool
it was to be able to do a layout with just the paper and nothing else, but then
in the end I couldn't resist adding a little bling...but other than that it is
all the paper. I also have to say that after being given 12 pieces of
paper there was not much leftover! Just don't ask me to say where I used
I also had in my mind that the 'Say Cheese' caption on the journaling element sheet would really suit a photo of my husband and I. I try to get a photo every year around our anniversary so I can see how we have grown and include some journaling about what has happened in our life. This year it was a little late being taken but what is really cute is that our 3 year old son took the photo so of course it is a bit blurry! So not the most perfect photo but one that really sums up how this past year has gown by so fast and sometimes it seemed rather blurry with our new little girl changing our lives so much! This time I did pull out some old favourites...kindy glitz and dimensional magic! I had forgotten about them for so long, it felt like I was getting an old friend to visit. I also wanted to try bubble wrap stamping as I have seen it so many times but always thought it was a bit mad, but I like it!
The journaling is hidden behind the photo with another photo of the four of us.
I'm Natalia, co-owner of Bali Suga Crafts, mother of two kids and wife of another! I started scrapbooking when I lived in Australia in the back of beyond and made the mistake of going into the local post office....aka the shop I spent the most money in (not that there was a lot to choose from). There I discovered scrapbooking supplies as well as a weekly class on a Tuesday night and haven't looked back since then!
