Here's the sketch
Live Life - Love Life
My mother’s favourite holiday place is Rarotonga and she has made numerous trips there over the last thirty years. She crossed her fingers (as did we all) that she would be fit enough to celebrate her 90’th there – and she made it, along with 58 family members.
Wearing our Peggy’s 90th Party rosettes, and with the odd legal graffiti left on bar walls, we made our presence on the island known, and we had a lovely family holiday. We had two more birthday girls: my daughter Vanessa turned 40 and her cousin Tamsyn turned 30 while we were in Rarotonga.
I used bright colours and florals for the page as they are both celebratory and typical of Rarotonga. I fussy cut the hibiscus flowers, folded and attached them with plain brads. I made flax flowers and used these, one backed by bought petals and the other topped by a blingy rosette. The white flower echoes Mum’s rosette. I used the Peg’s Party graffiti as my banner, and the frangipani cutouts to frame the top of my two photos – one of the three birthday girls, and one of Mum with her cake.
